PX3 Prix De La Photographie Paris for her
"Growing Up Girl Project". Select images from the
"Growing Up Girl" project were recently exhibited at the prestigious,
SPECTRA ’07: National Photography Triennial at the The
Silvermine Guild Arts Center , where Debra received honorable mention
for her image, "Gateway". Juror: Peter MacGill, Pace/MacGill Gallery,
NYC. Primo Piano
LivingGallery in Leece, Italy, welcomed back Debra for another group
exhibition, Uncomfortable Landscapes. A partial portfolio of her
"Ellis Island Abandoned Dreams Series" were included in the show. Several images from Debra's
"Growing Up Girl" project were on display in the exhibition,"Extasy - On"
at the Primo Piano LivinGallery in Debra's work received third place
for her
"Family
Reunion" series in the PX3 Prix De La Photographie Paris
competition as well as 4 honorable mentions. More work can be seen at FStop
Magazine, "Open Theme Exhibition". Included are images from
"Ellis Island Illuminated". AWARDS Second Place in this year's competition, PX3 Prix De La Photographie Paris for her
"Growing Up Girl Project". She received 3 honorable mentions in other categories as well. Honorable Mention in the
prestigious "Spectra
'07 Triennial" at the Silvermine Guild Arts Center, CT.
Juror: Peter MacGill. Honorable mention in the
International Photography Awards for her "Growing Up Girl" Project
and her "Ellis Island Abandoned Dreams" Series as well as her
portraits of children . Debra's "Growing Up
Girl" portfolio was chosen to be screened at the Palm
Springs Photo Festival Outdoor Slide Show. JURIED
PORTFOLIO REVIEWS
Debra's
portfolios were selected for inclusion in the prestigious Critical Mass Portfolio Review,
associated with Photolucida and the Review Santa Fe.
PUBLICATIONS Debra's "Growing Up Girl series will be published in Annual PX3 Book No.2 that accompanies the exhibition, PX3 Prix De La Photographie Paris. Debra was chosen as
the "Featured Artist”, Issue 13, at The FStop Magazine
Gallery, representing the group show titled, "Childhood/
Adulthood". These images are included in the newly
released book, FStop,The First Four Years. Select Portraits are included in
the Double Exposure Book Series, Photos That Inspire: Photo
Workshop. |
